I just don’t know how….
I tried taking a photo of how I incidentally dressed the same colour scheme as my petunias but my webcam and I had a fight and it refused to take anything of quality so this will HAVE to do. That is one frustrated Holly in the photo.
What I’m Wearing Today:
Pussybow Blouse: Oxfam
Cardigan: Topshop (sale, obviously!)
Shorts: Primark and a billion sizes too big.
The blood-covered leg of a penitent, resting on a bloodied step during a procession through the streets in the town of Verbicaro, southern Italy on April 2, 2010. The penitents, called “battenti”, or beaters, hit their legs with a “cardillo” (a cork with attached pieces of glass) and walk, bleeding, in groups of three through the streets, stopping in front of all the churches and chapels in the town. The tradition began in the thirteenth century and serves as penitence for Christ’s death.
I got Hope on my left wrist because when I was struggling, I would write it on there to remind myself not to give up.
It means: Not to give up on life, to acknowledge how far I have come in life despite my shit circumstances, it shows everything I have gotten through, and how much I have to look forward to as long as I remember to just have a little…. Hope.
